William "Bill" Wargo of Palm Coast, Florida formally of Stratford, Connecticut passed away suddenly on May 23, 2024. Born on October 7, 1956, he was the son of late John Wargo and Helen Balint Wargo. He was a graduate of Stratford high school class of 1974. After high school he went to trade school for welding and machine technology. Bill had a high regard for law-enforcement because of his dad and became a supernumerary police officer for the town of Shelton. Bill worked at Sikorsky Aircraft as a machinist for 35 years and retired in 2013. During that time he made lifelong friendships. He is survived by his loving wife of over 47 years Angela, his two sons, William Junior and wife, Mary of Milford and Michael and his wife Lisa of Stratford, his two grandchildren, Ashley and Ryan. Additional survivors include his brothers, John, Robert, and Joseph, all of Stratford, several brother-in-law and sister-in-law's, and countless nieces and nephews. Bill loved cooking for his family and friends, riding his Harley and going target shooting at the Flagler Gun and Archery Club in Palm Coast. What he loved the most, was spending time with his family and friends in Connecticut and Florida, traveling with Angela, and relaxing on the recliner with his companion Lulu. He was a kind, funny and generous man who will be greatly missed by all that new him. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday May 30, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00pm in the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday May 31, 2024 in Holy Name of Jesus Church with burial to follow in St. Michael Cemetery.
