Troy Daniel Atkins, 52, of Stratford, CT, the beloved son of James T. Atkins and the late Muriel Ann Novak Atkins, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026 after a short illness.

Troy grew up and resided in Stratford his entire life. Troy was a graduate of Platt Tech High School in Milford, CT. Troy was the owner of Atkins Lawnmower Service following in his family’s legacy of repairing lawn mowers, tractors, and snowblowers for customers in Stratford and the surrounding towns. Troy had also been a long-time member and Lt. in the Stratford Vol. Fire Co. #3.

His mechanical skills were also exhibited at many other companies over the years that included O&G Industries, Waste Management, and Hine Bros. Troy was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and he enjoyed riding his bike with his many friends.

Troy leaves behind his beloved fiancé Janice Wargo who he shared many memories with. He also leaves his aunts and uncles, and many cousins and friends, especially his buddy, JoJo.

Friends may greet the family on Thursday, November 5, 2026 from 4-7pm at the Dennis & D’Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St., Stratford, CT 06615. A graveside service will take place on Saturday, November 7, 2026 at 10:30am at St. Michael Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Ave., Stratford, CT 06615.
