Todd B. Lovell, age 86, a life long resident of Stratford passed away peacefully on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Lord Chamberlain Health & Rehab Center. He was the devoted husband of Carol Wilson Lovell for 52 years. Born in Bridgeport on March 31, 1929 he was a son of the late Harold C. and Beatrice Beach Lovell. Todd was a US Army Veteran serving his country during the Korean Conflict. He was the co-owner of the family business, H. C. Lovell Hardware in Stratford Center. Todd was vice president of the Stratford Historical Society, America-St. John's Lodge #8 A.F.& A. M., Scottish Rite Valley of Bridgeport, he was on the Board of Directors at the Union Cemetery and served as Grand Marshall to the Town of Stratford 375th anniversary parade in 2014. He was well known and proud of the multiple flag poles he donated throughout the town, including the pole in Stratford Center, Union & Putney Cemeteries, the Stratford Historical Society, historic district and others. In addition to his beloved wife Carol, he is survived by his son, Christopher T. Lovell and his partner Lisa H. Deeds of Fairfield and his daughter Amy B. MacInnis and her fiance Mark D. Gagne both of West Hartford. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Sarah E. Souza, Melissa A. Lovell, Joshua A. Lovell, Aaron C. MacInnis and Allison G. MacInnis, his precious great grandson Gary L. Sudsbury IV and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Harold C. (Bud) Lovell and sister, Imogen J. Corcoran. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 11:00 am at the First Congregational Church, Stratford with Rev. Meg Williams officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in the Union Cemetery.
