On Friday, May 31, 2024, Tina Marie Espinal peacefully crossed over with her family by her side at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport, CT on June 1, 1956, she was welcomed into this world as the sole child of the late Alberto and Josephine Toppi (maiden Josephine Porcelli). She was a member of several organizations at Warren Harding High School on Central Avenue, where she graduated with the Class of '74. At an early age, she discovered her love for art, an affinity which never lost. Due to her other passions, cooking; food; and her ethnic background, it was only fitting that she'd take multiple trips to Italy to uncover her family heritage.

A lifetime member of Holy Rosary Church on E. Washington Ave (up until its permanent closure), Tina also taught Catholic school programs at the same location. After Holy Rosary was closed, she quickly found a new home at St. Margret's Shrine, where she has remained a parishioner ever since. For nearly 40 years, she showcased loyalty and expertise in the insurance industry, most recently at County Agency.

Her memory lives on in the hearts and minds of closest loved ones: a husband of 37 years, Francisco (Frank) Espinal, and her two sons, Jonathan and Andrew. She will also be dearly missed by relatives and extended family all over the United States, in Italy, and in the Dominican Republic, where her husband was born and raised.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford. Funeral Services will take place on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with burial to follow in St. Michael's Cemetery.
