Thurland Jay Bristol, age 73 of Bridgeport previously of Milford and Orange, passed away on February 12, 2016 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Milford he was a electronic technician for several companies and served his country in the US Air Force from 1960 to 1964. At the age of 10 he was the youngest ham radio operator in the country. At an early age he also sang in the Boy's Choirs in NYC. He was predeceased by his parents; Thurland and Marion Rice Bristol and a brother Richard Dyson. He is survived by 3 cousins; Marilyn Lopez, Marshall Robinson and Helen Hartel and a niece, Lisa Dyson and nephew Marshall Dyson. All services will be held privately .
