Thomas Francis Fardy Sr. passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026. He was surrounded by family. Tom was born on October 25, 1949 in Bridgeport, CT. He was the devoted husband of Ritamae Fardy for 53 years. He is survived by his four children, Travis (wife Dana), Kacy, Benjamin, and Tommy Jr. He was also survived by his grandchildren Brett, Ty, Quinn, Pina, and Ambrose.

Tom was a hard-working ironworker for 35 years and always pointed out buildings that he worked on throughout all of Connecticut. He was also a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity for his last 20 years. Tom was a father and a grandfather before anything else. He spent many years coaching all of his kids in all the different sports they played, whether it was football, basketball, softball, or baseball. After coaching he never missed a game or practice to see his children and grandchildren play. He loved watching Uconn Girls Basketball, reading history books, making bowls in his garage and most of all, spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed.
