Stacy Elizabeth Koty passed away on December 5, 2024.  She was born on May 29, 1980, in Connecticut.  She is predeceased by parents Joseph J. Koty and Susan C. Koty.  She is survived by younger sister, Carol A. Koty, and brother-in-law Nicholas Sidorick IV, as well as her aunts and cousins.

A few paragraphs cannot begin to sum up a person's life or express the light they brought to the world.  Her family hopes to give you insight to the amazing person Stacy will always be remembered as:

Stacy lived in Connecticut all of her life, growing up in Ansonia and then Stratford.  She attended and graduated from Ripton School in Shelton, where she made life-long friendships.  She enjoyed working and her activities at the adult day programs at St. Vincent's Special Needs and Kennedy Center.

Stacy was a member of the Order of the Amaranth, following generations of strong women before her.  Stacy loved supporting her mother's passion for the organization and attending the social and fundraising events throughout the year.

Stacy had a strong will and caring heart.  She was a woman who knew what she wanted and was not shy about letting everyone know it.  She had so much love for her friends and family, always wanting to help people as much as possible.  Growing up with a household full of pets, Stacy was an animal lover.  She also enjoyed spending time on the computer, whether it was playing a video game, online shopping, or making lists and spreadsheets.  A movie and television aficionado, Stacy often planned her afternoons around what she wanted to watch – usually Disney, reality competition shows, or holiday movies.  The holidays were her favorite, especially dressing in themed outfits or hats and enjoying family traditions.

All are invited to gather on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford, with a Masonic ceremony at 6:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Stacy's memory may be made to the Amaranth Diabetes Foundation, Toys for Tots, and/or the Stratford Animal Rescue Society.
