Shirley Ann Kershaw, age 80, of Stratford beloved wife of John Roger Kershaw, the  loving mother of Tracy Kershaw  and devoted aunt to several nieces and nephews, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026 with her family by her side.

Born in Bridgeport she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Sebas Barnes and sister to the late Jack Barnes, Betty Black, Irene Klembara and Louise Rock. Shirley  was a secretary for Avco and also to the  Chief of the Stratford Fire Department.  She was  a part-time travel agent and enjoyed traveling, being a mother, homemaker and loving her pets.

Friends and relatives are invited to greet her family on Thursday February 5, 2026 at 12:30 p.m. in the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford.

A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Deacon Joseph Koletar , officiating.  Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
