It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon Dunn, a beloved mother and sister, who left this world on May 5, 2025 at the age of 63. Born in Bridgeport on March 12, 1962, she was a lifelong resident of Stratford, where she touched the lives of those around her with her warmth and kindness.

Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Ernest Dunn of Stratford, and Dobre Sterbinsky of Shelton, and a daughter, Courtney Nugent of Branford.

She is survived by her children, Casey Delzell, Matthew Zrallack (Melissa), Jessica Vzar (Anthony), Anthony and Nicholas Melita, Emily Bucciera, and Shawn and Britney Szarmach. She is also survived by a sister, Lisa Bender (Edward), and brother, Michael Dunn, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Sharon loved to spend time gardening and crocheting. She loved to make lap blankets for the nursing homes and hats for the newborns, as well as special items for her family and friends. She enjoyed going to her daughter's cheerleading games and was looking forward to Britney's graduation from SCSU on May 22, 2025. Sharon worked several years at Mill River Country Club in Stratford making many friends with her contagious smile.

In honor of Sharon's life and legacy, a Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 from 5-7pm at the Dennis & D'Arcy - Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St., Stratford, CT 06615. Friends and family are invited to gather and share fond memories, celebrating her life.

Burial will be private. Her final resting place will be at Riverside Cemetery in Shelton with Shawn.
