Sally Jennings Shaffner Reed, age 93, of Shelton passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 26, 2026 after an extended illness. She was the widow of David Reed.

Born in Bridgeport, CT she was a daughter of the late Joseph M. Shaffner and Dorothy Jennings. She enjoyed a successful career in administration at both Remington Arms and GE Corporate. She was an active at Nichols United Methodist Church in Trumbull for over 60 years and enjoyed crafting, gardening, baking, skeet shooting, and travelling with friends and family.

Sally is survived by her sons David Curtiss (Karen) Reed, Scott Wesley (Jillian) Reed, grandchildren Elizabeth, Lily, Emma, and Allison, sister-in-law Joan Shaffner, and nieces Lindsey Shaffner and Erin Shaffner.  She was predeceased by her husband, David, and brother, Wesley Shaffner and niece Jennifer Shaffner.

Friends may greet Sally's family on Monday, May 4, 2026 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. DIRECTLY at Nichols United Methodist Church, 35 Shelton Road, Trumbull CT 06611. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. immediately following the calling hours.
