Sally A. Yish Chop, age 93 of Bridgeport passed away peacefully on Monday, August 31, 2015 at Gardner Heights Health Care. She was the widow of Frank T. Chop. Born in Bridgeport on March 28, 1922 she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Katherine Yish. Sally worked for many years as a lead lady at Shick Safety Razor until her retirement in 1984. She is survived by her loving children and their spouses; Frank C. (Barbara) Chop of Stratford, Sally-Ann (Alex) Pazsak of Milford, Beverly (Mickey) Birch of Seymour and her daughter in-law Donna Chop of Oxford. Sally is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews especially her niece Dorothy (Bernie) Boulanger of Milford. She was predeceased by her son Robert T. Chop and her brothers and sisters; Frank Lesko, Stanley Yish, John Yish, Agnes Mikita and Lucy Stupac. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of Gardner Heights Health Care for the outstanding and compassionate care given to their loved one. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 10:30 am at St. James Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Bruce Roby officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery Bridgeport.
