Roland Joseph Walker of Framingham Massachusetts died at the age of 73 on Thursday June 18, 2015 with his family by his side. He was the son of the late Roland Herman Walker and the late Helen Elizabeth Walker. He was loyal and devoted to his wife Janet DeJoseph Walker and to his son Joseph Andrew Walker. Born in Bridgeport Connecticut, Roland graduated from Bullard Havens in 1959 and then enlisted in the military at the age of 18. Roland served his country around the world as a "Seabee" in the United States Naval Construction Forces. He acquired the lifelong nickname "Bud" after earning a reputation for being a buddy that could be counted on. Roland left the military to marry Janet and worked at Mcdonnell Douglas Aircraft in California. Roland worked for many companies in the restaurant industry and worked for the McDonald's Corporation for 25 years. Roland owned and operated his own McDonald's restaurants in both Boston and Ashland Massachusetts. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family and to support those around him. He will be sincerely missed by his family as well as the countless people whose lives he touched. Along with his wife and son, Roland is survived by his sister Patti Grauso, niece Laurel¬ Dee, his aunt Rose Walker, his mother in law Hazel Berger, his brother in law Andrew DeJoseph and wife Linda, his sister in law Andrea Birdsall and husband Michael, his sisters in law Marylin DeJoseph and Denise DeJoseph, as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street in Stratford Connecticut on Monday July 13th at 11am with services starting at 11:30 am.
