In loving memory of Robert Godfrey Pierson

Robert Godfrey Pierson, age 81, of Stratford CT passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Irene K. Pierson for over 52 years. Born in Bridgeport, Bob grew up in Fairfield, making Stratford his home for over five decades. A graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan University, Bob worked in various positions during his working life and ended his career with the Stratford Board of Education. A love of history, nature and family was a constant in his life.

In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his two loving daughters; Rebecca (Michael) Camperlengo of Stratford and Erica (Brandon) Robertson of Avon; his cherished grandchildren Megan Camperlengo, Tessa Robertson, Sara Robertson and Jake Camperlengo. In retirement, Bob created an immeasurable bond with his grandchildren as their caregiver for several days a week from birth through kindergarten. A man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life, he was always kind, caring, and happy to talk to anyone who crossed his path. His family will forever cherish his memory.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 11:00 at the Stratford United Methodist Church, followed by a graveside service at Union Cemetery, Stratford.
