Robert Earl Penwell, age 78 of Stratford, formerly of Meriden passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at his home.  He was devoted partner of the late Vivien Silverstein who passed in 2017.  Robert was born in Ohio on November 20, 1942 and was an auto mechanic for many years before his retirement.  He is survived by his daughter, Melody Esposito of Colchester and his son, Shawn Penwell and his wife Verina of Tennessee and his grandson, Jordan Penwell.  He also survived by Vivien's son, Ian Silverstein and many friends in the Meriden and Stratford areas.  A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Loyalty Cemetery, 172 Burroughs Road, Fairfield, CT.
