Richard H. Lill Sr., age 64 of Stratford passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016 in Milford. Born in Bridgeport on April 22, 1951 he was the son of the late Paul and Evelyn Lill. He is survived by his beloved son Richard H. Lill Jr., his former wife Barbara Lill and father in-law John Laufer all of Stratford. Richie served in the United States Marine Corps from 1969-1971 and was a printer for many years at Conner Printing Co. in Shelton. He was a loving father and friend who enjoyed the outdoors, sports, reading and music. He had a great sense of humor, always making those around him laugh. He had a modest attitude toward life and was always kind and helpful to everyone. He will be deeply missed. Richie is survived by his siblings and their spouses; Paul (Deborah) Lill, Mary Lou (Ed) Barber, Eileen (Don) Roberts, Stephen Lill, Patricia (Geoff) Wargo, Christopher (Christine) Lill, Kurt Lill, Melissa (Richard) Almy and many neices and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Loretta Lill-Steger (Gregor). Richard's funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. meeting directly at St. Joseph's Polish National Catholic Church, 1300 Stratford Road, Stratford, with Fr. Michal Gitner officiating. Full military honors will be presented at the church following the Mass. Friends may greet the family on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street Stratford.
