Raymond J. Martin Sr., age 95 a lifelong resident of Stratford passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Cambridge Manor.  Born on July 9,1927, he was the youngest son of the late Stephen and Mary Martin. Raymond was a dedicated and hard-working man, along with his brothers they owned and operated Martin's News which opened in 1943.  He and his brothers spent countless hours serving their community and a making many great friendships over the years. He was also an avid ballroom dancer. He is survived by his son, Raymond J. Martin Jr. and his wife Karen of Easton and his grandsons; Jake Colby Martin and Raymond J. Martin III. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by his Son, Andrew E. Martin and his siblings; Stephen, Albert, Ida and Elsie.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 11:00 am at Holy Name of Jesus Church, Stratford.  Interment will be held at a later date.  Friends may greet the family on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford.  To offer online condolences please visit www.dennisanddarcy.com
