It is with incredible sadness to announce the sudden passing of, Philip Ramanauskas, a life-long Stratford resident. Phil was born on June 29th in 1953 and joined his parents in eternal life on Monday, February 26, 2018.
Phil leaves behind his loving wife, Barbara, and his two children Jaime, Brian and his wife Carrie. Phil also leaves behind his brother, Joseph and his wife Becky , his sister-in-law Patty Chonko and her husband Dave and his sister-in-law Debbie Fabozzi and her husband Dominic. He also leaves behind his cherished nieces Jennifer and Kristen and nephews Joseph and Matthew. Phil adored his grandsons Logan, Joshua and Luke whom he sadly left behind. He also left behind many other close family members and friends.
Phil was an incredibly hard-working family man that enjoyed every moment with his family and many dear friends. Throughout Phil's life he was extremely passionate about coaching Pony baseball to the youth of Stratford in order to provide a safe and fun environment to learn to play baseball, a game he loved. Phil dedicated his life to serving the Stratford Community through his volunteer work. His most recent work with the Stratford Rotary Club brought him and his family much joy.
Friends may greet the family on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. in Our Lady of Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Rd. Fairfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his name to the Stratford Rotary Foundation, PO Box 98, Stratford, CT 06615 to help support youth scholarships.
