Paul Leslie Thornton, age 62, of Bridgeport, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, March 4, 2023.

Born in Huddersfield, England he was the son of James Thornton and the late Valerie Heaton Thornton. Paul was proud of his years of service in the United States Air Force as a fuel tank mechanic. As such he was a Patriotic man who loved his country and his home country of England. There was nothing he enjoyed more than a cold beer and shouting at the TV while watching a soccer game or NASCAR race. Paul was a dedicated Father and a loving Papa who gushed over his grandkids with pride. Although he had a tough exterior anyone who knew him would say he was the most generous and loving person.
