Paul P.
Mcguire
d. Jul 29, 2025
Paul P. McGuire, age 81, a treasured father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed into eternal rest on July 29, 2025 with his loving family by his side.
Born and raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Paul graduated from Harding High School and proudly served in the United States Army. After his military service, he followed his lifelong passion for golf, becoming a PGA golf professional. His career began in Florida and later brought him back to Connecticut, where he served as the head golf pro at Oronoque Country Club. For the last 25 years of his career, he was the head golf pro at Whitney Farms Golf Course, where he shared his knowledge of the game, mentored countless golfers and made many friends.
Paul was a dedicated and amazing father to his four children and grandfather "Pampy" of five. He found immense joy in being a grandfather, watching them grow and never missing any of their games or activities.
He will be remembered for his love of family, his witty sense of humor, quiet strength, and the generosity he showed to everyone around him.
He is survived by his loving sons, Michael and Paul; his beloved daughter Amy and son-in-law Mike; and his five adored grandchildren: Erika McGuire, Joeseph McGuire, Elise Smith, Mitch and Isabelle Debernardo. He also leaves behind his cherished sister Sharon McGuire and his special niece Jackie Geremia, as well as his former wife, Judy McGuire and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, Isabelle and William; his beloved daughter, Bridget; and his brother, Billy McGuire.
Paul's legacy lives on in the memories of those who loved him, the lives he touched, and the fairways he walked with grace and joy.
