Patriciann (Pat) Zayas, age 79, of Bridgeport, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023 peacefully in her own home. She was the widow of Louis Zayas.

Born in Bridgeport on October 1, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Magdalen Bindner DuBour.

Pat, or Nanny Pat as she was proud to be called by more than just her grandchildren, was the strongest, most loving and stubbornest person many of us knew. For those of us who were lucky enough to be loved by her, our lives will forever be touched by that love. She lived life to the fullest and on her own terms right to the end.

If she loved something - whether it be her family and friends, a movie (Bohemian Rhapsody and Green Book), a band (Queen), a TV show (Law&Order), or the casino - she loved it with all of her heart. She loved her daughters unconditionally and was proud of the fact most people thought they were sisters. Her favorite people, though, were her granddaughters Lauren and Christina, who will forever be her babies.

Patriciann is survived by her daughters, Sharon Paredes and her husband, Luis, Dianne Lickteig and her finance, Glen Greene, her brothers, Henry (Bill) DuBour, John DuBour and his wife, Beverly, her grandchildren, Lauren and Christina Paredes, her beloved friend, Bobbie Greene, who was like the sister she never had, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and those she was like a grandmother to. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Laurie DuBour.

Friends may greet the family on Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Dennis & D'Arcy - Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford CT 06615.
