Patricia Fahey Lutian, age 90 of Stratford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Bridgeport Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Michael Lutian, who passed away in 1995. Born in Washington, D.C. on April 19, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. Fahey and Gertrude T. Lucas Fahey. Patricia worked in the U.S. Department of the Interior in Washington, D.C. before moving to Connecticut, and prior to retirement worked briefly at People's Bank in Bridgeport. While raising their loving family in Stratford, Patricia and Mike hosted holiday gatherings and celebrations with their large family and long-time friends. Patricia was a member of the Ladies Guild at Holy Name of Jesus Church, and a volunteer at Franklin School. She and her husband enjoyed six years of retirement living in Hudson, FL. Upon returning to CT, Patricia was always available to lend a helping hand, and as a devoted grandmother was a library volunteer at St. Mark's School in Stratford. Her greatest joy was spending time with her thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Anne Marie Burgess of South Windsor, and her sons John Lutian and his wife Joanne of Seattle, WA, Mark Lutian and his wife Terri of Clinton, Michael Lutian and his wife Linda of Milford, and Joseph Lutian and his wife Martha of Arnold, MD. Also, Patricia is survived by her sister Ellen Kubisiak of Silver Springs, MD, her brother Michael Fahey and his wife Jane of Magnolia, Delaware, and her sister-in-law Agnes Fahey of Rockville, MD. She is also survived by her thirteen grandchildren Patrick Burgess, Lawrence Burgess, and Margaret Carstens, Patricia Lemire and Christine Lutian (Cayuela), David, Jeffrey, and Elizabeth Lutian, Joseph and Jacob Lutian, Katherine, Madeleine and Carrie Lutian, seven great-grandchildren Katie, Bennett, Emily, Thomas, Miranda, Scarlett and Arthur as well as a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her devoted husband Michael she was predeceased by her son, James Lutian and brother, James Fahey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 10:30 am at St James Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
