Pamelia (Pam) Ann Matto, age 68, of Stratford passed away suddenly on Friday, October 9, 2015 at her home. She was the devoted wife of Patrick D. Matto Sr. Born in Bridgeport on September 1, 1947. She was a daughter of the late William and Ellen Wells Thielen. Pam graduated Bunnell High School and worked in food service most of her life. She was an exceptional cook and loved cooking for her family. She enjoyed gardening and canning. Her greatest love was being a wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her beloved husband Pat, she is survived by her children; Marsha Matto and her fiancé Michael Cerreta of Monroe, Patrick D. Matto Jr. and his wife Megan of Stratford and Matthew Matto and his wife Amy of Seattle, WA. She is also survived by her brothers; Robert E. Thielen of Milford, Joseph J. Thielen of Deep River and her granddaughters; Haley Pitera and Riley Matto and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sister, Gladys Graham, her brother, William A. Thielen and her grandchildren; John Thomas Pitera and Morgan Amelia Pitera. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be private in St. John's Cemetery Stratford.
