Mildred Mae Nasson Hatch, age 98 widow of Edmund E. Hatch, a life long Stratford resident passed away peacefully on August 11, 2016 at Lord Chamberlain Health Care, Stratford. Born in Stratford, Mildred was the daughter of the late Henry and Catherine Nasson and retired from Acme Shear in Bridgeport after many years of devoted service. Mildred was a member of the Baldwin Center, the VFW and was a faithful member Our Lady of Peace Church since 1949. She enjoyed playing bridge and mahjong with her friends and was devoted to her family who survive her; a loving daughter and son in law, Dee and Patrick Brawley of Fairfax Station, VA, five beloved grandchildren and their spouses; Aimee and John McCann, Melissa and Rob Eddy, John and Christina Brawley, Patrick and Crista Brawley and Peter and Jenny Brawley, eleven loving great grandchildren; Meaghan, Kerry and Aislinn McCann, Courtney Eddy, John C. and Ryan Brawley, Madelyn and Hunter Brawley, Lauren, Peter H. and Henry Brawley and several nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial meeting directly at Our Lady of Peace Church, 651 Stratford Rd. Stratford on August 25, 2016 at 10:30 a.m.. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery. There will be no calling hours and in lieu of flowers donations in her memory can be made to Our Lady of Peace Sanctuary Fund.
