Michael A. Pagerino, age 64 of Bridgeport, passed away suddenly in his home on Monday September 23, 2013. Born in Bridgeport on July 8th 1949, he was the beloved son of the late Frank J. (Rock) Pagerino. He graduated from the University of Bridgeport obtaining a masters degree and was an educator with the Bridgeport School District for the past 30 years, most recently as the head librarian at High Horizon's Magnet School in North Bridgeport. He also taught adult education in the evening, helping students who sought to earn their high school diploma or English as a second language. Michael was a passionate and dedicated educator who will be deeply missed by his colleagues and students. A scholarship for adult education program will be established in his name to honor his hard work and devotion. He was predeceased in addition to his father by his brother Robert.
He is survived by his brother Frank Pagerino and his wife Pat of Shelton, his sister Frances Steller of Enfield, his step mother Barbara Pagerino of Shelton, step sisters, Donna Nolan, Shirley Kealey, Annie Mailloux, step brother Randy Daskam and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Friday September 27, 1023 at 9 a.m. in St. James Church, Stratford with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.
