Mary Popielasz, age 94, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 24, 2022. She was the widow of John Andrew Popielasz.
Born in Beccaria, PA, Mary was a daughter of the late Mike and Ann Sasala Shostak. She was passionate about her faith, spending time with her family and was a thoughtful, caring person who always put others before herself.

Mary is survived by her sons, John Alan Popielasz (Sue) of Huntsville, AL, and Gary Michael Popielasz (Nancy Deslauriers) of Seymour, CT, her daughter Donna Marie DiToro (John) of Cordillera, CO, her grandchildren, Robert, Suanne, Brian James, Lisa, Jessica, and great grandchildren, Jaylen, Zachary, Riley, Aaron, Anthony, Elizabeth and Delaney, sister Margaret Urcinola of Maryland, brother Donald Shostak (Marie) of Arizona, and nephew Michael Shostak (Nui) of Thailand. She was predeceased by her brothers Mike and Larry Shostak.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford. Friends may greet the family at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will immediately follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery of Easton.
