Mary Judith (Judie) Moore

Judie Moore, 83, of Stratford, CT passed away on November 11, 2024.

Born on November 26, 1940 in Mishawaka, IN and previously of Woodbridge, CT, she is predeceased by her mother, Esther Knobf and father, Charles Knobf.

Judie was a beloved sister, daughter, aunt, great aunt, and friend to many. She is survived by her brother, Charles (Mary) Knobf, niece Emily (Patrick) Dempsey, nephew Zachary Knobf, great niece Delaney Dempsey, and great nephew Patrick J. Dempsey.

Judie was a graduate of Amity Regional High School (1959) and Dean College (1961). After graduating college, she spent time in Los Angeles, CA, West Palm Harbor, FL, and Vancouver, BC. She had a fulfilling and long career at Deloitte & Touche from 1988-2018, where she took great pride in her work and made many lasting friendships, many of whom she considered her extended family and remained close to well after retirement. Judie always enjoyed taking trips to Lake Winnipesaukee New Hampshire, a place close to her heart. She was an avid reader, traveler, and shopper (she could shop until she dropped). She particularly loved visiting the Hamptons. In her retirement, Judie enjoyed the gym, spending time with family, meeting with friends for lunch or dinner, and especially being around her beloved great niece and nephew, whom she adored and who adored her in return.

Judie will be remembered for her zest for life, her kind and caring spirit, her eye for fabulous fashion and design, and her loving nature. She was a joyous individual who will be deeply missed by many, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Interment will be private. A memorial will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Judie's name may be made to the Dorothy Adler Center or to the Stratford Animal Shelter.
