Mary Lou (Donnelly) Herlihy RN, age 88 of Trumbull, beloved wife of Richard L. Herlihy, passed away peacefully at her home on May 10, 2021. Born in Bridgeport CT on May 11, 1932, Mary Lou was the daughter of William and Alberta Donnelly. Mrs. Herlihy was a Trumbull resident for 48 years. She was a graduate of Laurelton Hall and Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing. She worked many years, spanning decades either doing private duty or at St. Vincent's Hospital.

Survivors include her two sons, Richard W. and the late Roxanne Herlihy, of Shelton, and Thomas F. (Patricia) Herlihy of Stratford; daughters Patricia (John) Connell of Chatham, MA, Kelly (John) Stephens of Oro Valley, AZ, Maura Herlihy of Chandler, AZ, Colleen (Andrew) Zaslow of Trumbull; sister Patricia Meade of Trumbull and brother William Donnelly of Bridgeport; 15 grandchildren; 5 great-granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be private with a Memorial Service to be held at a later date.
