Mary-Ellen Baus, age 54 of Shelton passed away peacefully on Friday, July 17, 2015 at CT Hospice surrounded by her loving and devoted family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Bridgeport on January 18, 1961 she was the loving daughter of Daniel R. Baus of Stratford and the late Joyce Oppel Baus. Mary-Ellen was a lead account representative in the commercial real estate division of Peoples United Bank for many years until her illness. She was a longtime member of the Germania Schwaben Club and an avid gardener, baker and runner. She also had an exquisite taste for fashion. Mary-Ellen was a caring and compassionate daughter, sister, companion, godmother and devoted friend. She loved all with a generosity of spirit. In addition to her father Daniel, she is survived by her brother; Raymond Baus and his wife Tamara of Cambridge, WS, her companion Kevin Mooney and her dear friends; Mary and Carey Dietmann and Carrie and Ron O'Malley. A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary-Ellen will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church with Monsignor Ryan officiating. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. The hours of visitation will be held on Monday, July 20, 2015 from 4 to 8 pm at the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford.
