Marion P. Tompkins, age 94 of Milford passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was the widow of Hiram Tompkins. Born in Bridgeport on November 1, 1919 she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Charlotte Hall Peate. She was a former employee of the Woolworth Company for many years until her retirement. She is survived by her nieces and nephews; Barbara Corarito, Patty Schuessler, Kenneth Peate, Fred Brzoska and David Brzoska. Several great nieces and nephews, especially Regina Pierce and Deborah Peate. She is also survived by many great great nieces and nephews, especially, Brandon Peate, Anna Pierce and Beth Pierce. In addition to her beloved husband Hiram she was predeceased by her son Donald Tompkins, sister; Grace Rider and Shirley Brzoska, her brother; Wallace Peate and nephews; Alan Rider and Thomas Peate. Funeral services will take place on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 11:00 am at Stratford United Methodist Church, 2600 Main Street, Stratford with Rev. Meg Williams officiating.
