Marion (Raybe) Perreira, of Stratford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at the Bridgeport Hospital. She was 95 at the time of her passing. Born in Bridgeport, CT her parents were Kathryn and George Raybe. Her soulmate, William 'Bill' Perreira predeceased her in 1981 and she is survived by her two children, Barbara Gaudio and her husband Robert of East Haddam and her son William of Stratford. She has two siblings, her late sister Gladys Stone, CA and is survived by her brother George Raybe, Jr, CA. Marion met the love of her life during WWII when she had an all-girl band playing for the troops and her future husband came to listen. Prior to their marriage she was also part of the sea scouts. During their marriage, she was involved with various aspects of the town that included being a Cub Scout den mother, the Frash Pond Project and politics. Her last job with the town was manager of the Stratford High School Cafeteria and went to UCONN for certification in the food industry. She was also an animal lover and cared for many animals over the years. The hours of visitation will take place on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 5 to 7 pm at the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford.
