Marilyn C. Merritt, age 87 of New Haven, previously of Stratford passed away on Wednesday April 22, 2015 at the Grimes Center, New Haven. Born in New York, New York she was an insurance agent for thirty years for many local companies and retired from Galasso and Pucciarello of Stratford. An independent lady, she enjoyed gardening, her family and friends. Survivors include her beloved daughter, Lisa Edwards of Meriden, two loving grandchildren, Christopher Edwards and his fiancée Alyssa Flanders and Jonathan Edwards and his wife Lisa Marie Edwards and two adoring great grandchildren, Jaxxon and Damien. Friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday April 25, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford with Deacon Raymond Chervenak, officiating.
