Marie Madeline Garrick, age 80, of Derby, CT, the beloved wife of Anthony R. Garrick, passed away peacefully at home with her family, on Wednesday, November 1, 2017.

Marie was born on March 21, 1937 to the late Frank and Theresa Civitelli. She was predeceased by her sister Frances DeRiso. She graduated from Bassick High School in 1955 and married Anthony in 1959. They had two children, Robert A. and Susan. Marie was loving, devoted and selfless to her family. Marie enjoyed watching musicals, playing piano, singing and cooking. She was an avid reader. But her biggest passion was babies. She was a baby magnet, if there was a baby nearby we always knew where to find her.

In addition to her husband Anthony, survivors include her son Robert A. Garrick of Florida, her daughter Susan Garrick and her wife Debra Garrick of Derby, as well as seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and several very close friends.

A celebration of Marie's life will take place on Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a service following at 4:00 p.m. at Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford.
