Mariann Pintek, 74, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully at St. Vincent's Medical Center on January 25th, 2022.

Born in Brooklyn, New York on January 31st, 1947, Mariann was predeceased by her parents, Rosario and Josephine Bacarella, as well as her brother Anthony V. Bacarella, all of Trumbull.

In early years, Mariann was a talented writer, filling volumes of journals with stories of her life and life around her.

She was an avid animal lover and could be seen caring for and taking in any stray needing attention.  Early mornings, you could find her feeding peanuts to the squirrels at Beardsley Park.

Summer months would find her planting gardens that would flourish well into autumn.  She took her green thumb and worked at a local garden exchange, creating beautiful floral arrangements.

Mariann is survived by her three children; KellyAnn Gil of Bridgeport, Marc Maas and daughter-in-law Debra of Seymour, and Stephen Pintek of Bridgeport.

Her grandchildren are Jillian DelVecchio and husband Scott of Madison, Meghan Gil of Bridgeport, and Emily Gil and fiancée Pam Denomme of Warwick, Rhode Island.

Her great-grandchildren are Evan and Maya DelVecchio, of Madison.
