(Margaret) Elaine Turner Fraser
March 17, 1925 – April 5, 2022
Elaine Fraser, Age 97, beloved wife of the late William Fraser, went to be with her Lord on April 5, 2022.
Born on March 17, 1925 in Richmond, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late George Wilson and Margaret Turner. Elaine was a proud southerner and never lost her southern accent even after 75 years living in Stratford, Connecticut.
Elaine and Bill raised their three children in traditional 50's – 60's style. She was a stay at home Mom volunteering as a Girl Scout leader, Sunday school teacher at Stratford Baptist Church and was always active in the PTA.
She was a homemaker extraordinaire – proficient in sewing, knitting and cooking. Elaine brought her southern hospitality to all she met. She loved hosting any celebration gathering friends and making them family.
Elaine returned to the work force where she was employed as an Administrative Assistant at the University of Bridgeport and the Stratford School system. She exemplified the word multi-tasker.
Retirement brought time to travel to all 50 states and much of Europe. A very special trip to Israel was a chance to walk in the steps of her strong Christian faith. She instilled a love of travel in her grandchildren by taking them on adventures.
Elaine was predeceased by her treasured brother, Raymond Turner and her great-granddaughter Nora.
She is survived by her three children:
Daughter: Susan and son in law Thomas Adams
Daughter: Cheryl and son in law Michael Pavia
Son: William G. Fraser
Her 6 grandchildren – who called her Marnie.
Kristin, Kimberly, Tommy, Daniel, Kelley and Lauren
Her 14 great grandchildren.
Her sister: Patricia and brother in law Jack Moore of Richmond, VA
and many nieces and nephews
A private memorial service will be planned at the convenience of the family.
