Margaret (Peggy) E. Ferris, age 84 of Southport passed away, December 14, 2024 at Bridgeport Hospital with her loving family by her side.  She was the devoted wife of 64 years to Roy Ferris.  Born in Bridgeport on August 22, 1940 she was the daughter of the late Harold and Ullie Stowe Stuart.

In her early years, Peggy was a file clerk for CT National Bank, then became a loving, caring and devoted wife and mother to her three boys. She took great pride in raising her family, she proved her love through hugs and laughter and her ability to make anyone smile. Peggy loved to cook for her family and write beautiful uplifting poems for all to enjoy. To all that knew her she was a selfless soul who put others before herself and brightened lives of those around her.

She will be greatly missed by Roy and her sons; Jim Ferris and his fiancé Ingrid Voggel of Shelton, Chuck Ferris and his wife Amy of Shelton and Gary Ferris and his wife Dawn of Wallingford. Her eight wonderful grandchildren; Brian, Kristen, David, Laura, Natalie, Craig, Savannah and Kayleigh. She Is also survived by her nephew, Bob Gilmore. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Ullie Drew and niece, Linda Drew.

Funeral services will take place Friday, December 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street Stratford.
