Margaret J. Bailey, age 91 of Bridgeport passed away at Lord Chamberlain Health Care Center on Wednesday December 18, 2013. Born in Bridgeport on May 24, 1922, Margaret was the daughter of the late Alfred and Margaret Dowling Bailey. She was a secretary for Dupont for 44 years before retiring in 1987. Margaret was active in St. Ambrose Church ladies guild and was a Eucharistic minister and church reader. She enjoyed playing bingo and trips to the casino with her friends. Survivors include devoted her nephew and niece, Donald and Annette Felix of Stratford, her niece and godchild, Margaret Strachan of Longs, SC and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Helen Felix and Grace Powers. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 23, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Stratford with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Monday morning from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford.
