Michele MacKenzie, age 66 , of Stratford passed away peacefully at Bridgeport Hospital on Friday January 20, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on November 10, 1950 she was the daughter of Ruth May Christopher Stanton and the late Joseph C. MacKenzie. She was a graduate of Bunnell High School class of 1968 and was a retired manager of Hampton Antiques Gallery in Stamford. Michele loved to drive, travel and walk the beach. She was a volunteer at Save the Chimp Foundation, the Stratford Animal Shelter and took care of the animals at Booth Memorial Park. Survivors in addition to her mother include three devoted sons; Nathan J. Legensky of Ansonia, Todd P. Legensky and Matthew T. Legensky both of Stratford, the father of her children, Thomas H. Legensky of Stratford, a brother, Wesley Stanton and his wife Audrey of MD, a sister, Deborah McPadden of Stratford, two loving grandchildren, Ariel and Joseph Legensky and several nieces and nephews. She was an avid dog lover and also survived by her four faithful cats. All services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
