Lydia Torres Rivera, age 91 of Bridgeport passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. She was the widow of George L. Rivera Sr.. Born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico she was a daughter of the late Manuel Torres Santiago and Bernarda Romas Rosado. She is survived by her son Jorge L. Rivera Jr. and his wife Patricia of Florida, her grandchildren; Harry, Jorge III, Jamie, Jackie, Mark Anthony and Ciara Rivera. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her sons; Aristedes ( Harry) Rivera and Mark S. Rivera. A Mass of Christian of Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 26, 2014 at 10:30 am at St. Charles Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford.
