Obituary

Jean Jacque Gedeon (AKA Loulou), age 69, was born in Jacmel, Haiti. He was the first born of seven children. He was educated in Port-au-Prince. After that, he worked hard as a young man to establish himself as an independent person by hitting the work force. His first job was in a pharmacy. He continued working throughout his life in a variety of places, including the airline industry. Loulou and his family moved to the United States where he worked as a Machine Operator.
Loulou could not stand still from childhood to manhood. He quickly learned the ropes of life and did a variety of things with his life. The most important thing he did early in his life was to fall in love and marry his childhood love Maryse Lamothe.
From that marriage, was born two beautiful girls, Tamiyu and Yamitsu. Clearly from the name of his children, one can get a glimpse into his deep, beautiful, and intellectual mind. Loulou lived by the notion that the mind is a terrible thing to waste. He used his mind to the full. He was extremely creative and insightful. Simply put, the man was a genius. Loulou could open any machine or electronic device, learn how it worked then duplicate it with his own twist.
After retiring from working all his life, he took on a variety of major and mini projects. His most recent project was a solar-powered irrigation system that provided oxygen to aquatic life and grew food at the same time. He also built his own solar panels from scratch. Loulou was the real life McGyver, a jack of all trades.
Nothing could stop Loulou, the man simply could not be contained.
Sadly, he was overcome by illness and battled it bravely to the very end. Loulou loved life and was always the life of the party. He loved to dance, always quick with a joke to bring humor to sadness. Knowing him, he would love to be remembered that way. He lived a good life!
Loulou leaves behind his soul mate and wife of 45 years, Maryse and his two beautiful daughters Tamiyu and Yamitsu. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, David, Seira, Ceylon, Joshua and Jonathan.
He further leaves behind five sisters and brothers, and many cousins, nieces and nephews and a world full of friends.
He will truly be missed. We love Loulou and we will always cherish our fond memories of him. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
