Morrisey, Lorraine
Lorraine Bunce Morrisey, age 88, of Milford, died on Sunday, December 4, 2016, in Bridgeport Hospital, surrounded by loving family. Born in Bridgeport, CT, but grew up in Stratford, CT, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Edwards Bunce. Lorraine was a Graduate of Stratford High School Class of 1945. She then went on to work as Secretary for the General Electric Co. She was predeceased by her husband Richard H. ( owner of Richard Allen Mfg Co.) and her son Richard T. Morrisey and granddaughter Rachael McDaniel Cameron of Utah. Survivors include three devoted daughters, Gail M. Benedetto (Robert) of Milford, Elaine Morrisey Hoffstadt (Kevin) of Beacon Falls and Margaret Hawes of North Carolina (whom she considered her daughter). Also survived by her grandchildren, Randy, Lisa (Jeff Kotos) and Ryan Benedetto, all of Milford, and Joseph (Kim) McDaniel of North Carolina. Along with several nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. Other survivors include Allen (Louise) Morrisey MD of Yarmouth Port, MA, who his niece Gail would like to give special thanks for his moral support, Robert Morrissey, and her niece Tish of Stratford, Raymond Benedetto, and her loving companion Willie, her dog. Special thank you to David M. Jutkowitz, MD of Stratford. He is truly unique in his ways of practice and shows such compassion which seems to be a lost art of bedside manner in this day and age. We can remember him coming for daily visits when he would take her by the arm and go for a walk, that takes a very special man and doctor and we cannot thank him enough.
