Lois Elsie Beardsley, 91 of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2018. Born on February 4, 1927, she was a daughter of Leo Quigley and Katherine Haffner Quigley.

Lois was a graduate of the Bridgeport School of Nursing as an RN and proudly worked for Bridgeport Hospital for 41 years until her retirement in 1987. Her specialty was Newborn ICU. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, George Noble Beardsley Jr. She is also survived by her daughter, Kathy Lynn Cichocki (Mark) of Hedgesville, WV; her sons, Dale Runyan Beardsley (Bonnie) of Yorktown, VA, Scott Hunt Beardsley of Westerly, RI, and Glenn Noble Beardsley (Ann) of Milford, CT; as well as seven grandchildren, three great-grandsons, and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Marjorie Adams and her brother, William Quigley.

Friends may greet the family on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home immediately following visitation officiated by Pastor Cindy Stasko. Interment to follow at Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
