Keith Norman Scheck Sr., age 74, of Stratford, beloved husband of Patricia S. Brannigan Scheck, passed away on Wednesday March 8, 2017 at Bridgeport Hospital with his family at his side. Keith was born in Bridgeport, on March 31, 1942, and lived in Stratford for his entire life. He was the son of the late Clifford C. and Aurilla Southard Scheck. He owned and operated Scheck's Lawn Service until retirement. After retirement he loved doing lawn maintenance at Union Cemetery, and did so for as long as he was physically able to. Keith enjoyed owning and restoring many classic cars. His family was everything to him and he will be sadly missed by his family, many friends and neighbors. Keith is survived in addition to Patricia his loving wife of 35 years, by his devoted children; Michael Peslak and wife Patty of Stratford, Dawn Scheck Kopec of Stratford, Kim Peslak Polasek and husband George of Oxford, Keith N. Scheck Jr. and Leslie of Clinton, Steven Peslak and wife Jenniffer of Waterbury and Tammy Scheck Roman and husband Tony of Stratford, a brother Clifford C. Scheck and wife Elaine of Winter Haven, FL, sister in law, Linnea Scheck of Stratford, 11 grandchildren, Karissa and husband Steven, Amanda, Rebecca, Bryan, Cassie, Josiah, Emily, Ivan, Christian, Shyanne and Samantha and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Christina Kopec, brother Raymond Scheck and sister June Pickering. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford. Funeral services will be held on Monday evening in the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
