Katherine Marie Battistelli (née Morton), age 73, of Stratford passed away at her home on Thursday, June 1, 2023. She was the widow of Joseph L. Battistelli.

Born in Bridgeport on March 30, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Angelina Mattini Morton. Kathie graduated from Central High in 1968. After graduation Katherine began a career as a legal secretary for Koskoff, Koskoff, and Bieder. During the 80s and 90s she raised her family. She volunteered at Eli Whitney as an aid in the school library. In the early aughts she re-entered the workforce as a substitute secretary for the Stratford Board of Education and then as a full-time secretary at the Bunnell High School Library. Kathie was an avid reader and was never far from her Kindle.

Katherine is survived by her children Victoria (Robert) and Joseph, her siblings Edward (Missy), Charles (Deborah), Robert (Roberta), William (Roberta), Nancy Eles and Florence Lillis, her sisters-in-law Diane and Cheryl, and many nieces and nephews.Katherine was predeceased by her husband Joseph L. Battistelli, her brothers Lee and Kevin Morton, and her brothers-in-law John Eles and Wayne Lillis.

A Funeral Service will be held for Katherine on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Dennis & D'Arcy - Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford. Friends may greet the family from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of her family.
