Karen Ann McLaughlin, age 63 of Lakeworth, FL, previously of Bridgeport, passed away on March 21, 2015 at JFK Memorial Hospital, Lakeworth, FL. Born in Bridgeport on January 9, 1952 she was the daughter of the late John J. McLaughlin Sr. and Carmella Ann Giordano McLaughlin and sister of the late Robert C. McLaughlin. Karen was a hairdresser with Kenney Z's hair salon before she moved to Florida. She loved the beach, the outdoors and enjoyed cooking for her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her especially her survivors which include her beloved companion for over 30 years, Joseph Mauro of Lakewood ,FL and his son Joey Mauro of Bridgeport, his devoted brother, John J. McLaughlin Jr. and his wife Lorraine of Bridgeport, 3 loving nephews; John, Brian and Michael McLaughlin and several aunts and uncles. Friends are invited to attend funeral services on Monday March 30, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Margaret Church, 2539 Park Ave. Bridgeport with a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in St. Michael Garden Mausoleum.
