June Virginia Erle Holcomb, age 92 of Milford widow of Miles K. Holcomb passed away on Wednesday February 8, 2017 at her home at Carriage Green in Milford. Born in Stratford she was the daughter of the late Robert W. and Delia Teller Erle. June lived in Shelton prior to moving to Daytona Beach, FL. Daytona Beach was her home for over 40 years. She returned to Connecticut eleven months ago and resided in Milford. She was a member of the Amaranth and the Eastern Star. June enjoyed traveling , casino trips and bingo. Survivors include a son, Miles Holcomb of Shelton, a daughter, Linda Martinka and her husband Joseph of Shelton, ten grandchildren; Drew, Kevin, Brian, Michael, Jennifer and Kimberly Holcomb, Joseph M., Tammy and Misty Martinka, Stephen Gilson also 11 great grandchildren, her devoted niece Dawn Kostzewski and her husband Ted of Trumbull and several additional nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Judith Holcomb, her great granddaughter, Elizabeth Grace , her daughter in law, Shirley Holcomb and her sister, Naomi Cadwell. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford. A funeral service will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home following the visitation with the Rev. Christopher Leighton, of St. Peter's Episcopal Church of Milford, officiating. Burial will be held in Daytona Beach.
