Julius Buckley, age 85 of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Lilly Hussey Buckley passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Jamaica, son of the late Simeon and Maryann Buckley, Julius was retired from Sikorsky Aircraft and was a proficient cabinet maker. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Fairfield, and was a former deacon known for his powerful prayers. Survivors in addition to his wife Lilly of 43 years include three brother and three sisters in Jamaica, two sister in laws and a brother in law in Jamaica and two sister in laws, and a brother in law in the USA and several nieces and nephews. Visitation for the public to greet the family will be held on Friday December 6, 2013 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church of Fairfield, 65 Church Hill Rd. Fairfield, CT 06825. Funeral services officiated by the Rev. Henry Brehm, Pastor will take place following visitation from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon. Procession for burial in Mt. Grove Cemetery, 2675 North Ave. Bridgeport will follow immediately after the service. The repast will be held at the church at the conclusion of cemetery services.
