Judith M. (Botha) Violette, age 77 of Shelton, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Bridgeport Hospital. She was the widow of Richard L. Violette.

Born in Bridgeport on January 18, 1941 she was a daughter of the late Louis and Helen Vane Botha. She was a member of the East End Yacht Club, The Ladies Auxiliary and The Explorers. Judy loved camping and going to the Beardsley zoo with her family. She also enjoyed trips to Florida, especially going to Disneyworld.

Judy is survived by her daughter Kimberly Violette and her two grandchildren Eric and Ryan Bailey. She was predeceased by her sister Carol Gerende.

A Funeral Service will be held for Judy on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford CT 06615. Interment will directly follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Bridgeport. Friends may greet the family on Thursday May 24, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
