Joyce L. Galbraith, age 80 of Milford passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at her home. She was the widow of William F. Galbraith. Born in Bridgeport on March 1, 1935 she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Julia Barrett Anderson. Joyce was a registered nurse in the operating room at Bridgeport and Milford Hospitals before her retirement. She was a member of the CT Swamp Yankees, a division of the Shriner's for many years with her husband Bill. She is survived by her 4 devoted sons; Barry Galbraith of Milford, Robert Galbraith and his wife Lisa of Shelton, William Galbraith of Monroe and Brian Galbraith of Milford. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Olivia, Owen, Bobby and Sammi Galbraith. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her brother; Robert Anderson and her sister; Janet (Jeannie) Kettman. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 10:30 am at the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Friday, August 7, 2015 from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral Home.
