Joseph A. Sperandeo, age 84 of Bridgeport passed away on May 17, 2023.

Born in Bridgeport he was the son of the late Thomas and Anna Carrano Sperandeo. He was a WWII US Army Veteran and was a retired security officer with Sec-Tex Security. He worked for the Olin Corporation and University of Bridgeport. He was also a well known drummer for notable bands throughout the nation.

Survivors include his daughter, Lisa Sperandeo of Bethany, a stepdaughter, Randilyn Horkia and her husband James of Derby, one step-grandaughter, Misty Horkia.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00  noon in the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St., Stratford.  A funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon with burial held in Park Cemetery.
