Joseph Louis Battistelli, age 65 of Stratford passed away suddenly on
Saturday February 15, 2014. Born in Bridgeport on
October 23, 1948, he was the son of the late Mario G. and Alma Kearney
Battistelli. He was a graduate of Notre Dame High School and received
his B.A. in English from Sacred Heart University. He was a member of
the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 777. He served in the Army National
Guard and was member of Amercian Legion Post 177, Corinthian Lodge No.
104, A.F. & A.M., Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, and Shriners of North
America. He enjoyed working outdoors, gardening and boating. Survivors
include his beloved wife of 37 years, Katherine Morton Battistelli, a
son, Joseph Mario Battistelli of Richmond, VA and a daughter Victoria
Katherine Battistelli of Stratford, a brother James Battistelli and his
wife Mary Jo of Trumbull and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend funeral services on Thursday, February 20,
2014 at 7:30 p.m. in the Dennis & D'Arcy - Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home,
2611 Main Street, Stratford. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday
evening from 4 to 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home prior to services. A Masonic service will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
